Training directly with the association
The training system of the German Federal Association of Cosmetic and Foot Care Businesses is run by its academy. The regional schools and the association’s training partners belong to it.
The academy is an approved provider under the AZAV procedure — the approval procedure for measures publicly funded by the Federal Employment Agency — and also the competence centre for developing the curriculum frameworks. Training and further training follow the rules and standards of the association, in particular the standard BSO 2011.
Every professional course ends with an examination before the association. Afterwards you receive a certificate from the association — entered in the association’s training register, kept nationwide and now Europe-wide.
What the standard means for your training
In its annex for training businesses, the standard BSO 2011 sets out how a training or further training course must be structured. For you this means:
Written curriculum
For each training course, learning objectives, contents, scope in hours, teaching and examination formats and the admission requirements are available in writing.
Qualified teachers
Teachers are demonstrably qualified for their subject.
Practice at real workstations
Practical instruction takes place at workstations that meet the requirements of the standard — hygiene included.
Supervised practice
Practice treatments on models only after information and consent and under the constant supervision of a teacher.
Transparent examination
Examinations follow fixed criteria that you know in advance — and every examination is documented.
Verifiable qualification
Your certificate states the content and scope of the training; its authenticity can be verified by third parties.

The academy’s administration is located at Radelandstraße 4, 13589 Berlin. No teaching takes place there.

The Federal Association represents cosmetic and foot care businesses throughout Germany, certifies businesses according to its standards and is a member of CIFA, the World Federation of Cosmetics. Its office is at Unter den Linden 21 in Berlin.
